ThankTap is hotel infrastructure, not a tip jar. Properties get roster and pooling controls, finance-grade reconciliation, payroll export and audit history, plus recognition data no guest survey captures — at no cost, because ThankTap is funded by the guest-paid 20% service fee.

What ThankTap costs a property

Nothing. There is no subscription, no setup fee and no hardware charge. ThankTap provides and replaces the NFC badges. The only fee in the system is the 20% service fee paid by the guest on top of the tip.

The ThankTap hotel dashboard tracks recovered gratuities, staff participation, guest tip conversion and average tip. The concept dashboard for an illustrative property, the Grandview Hotel, shows $128,750 in recovered gratuities, 87% staff participation, 24.7% guest tip conversion and an $18.64 average tip. These figures are concept visualizations from the ThankTap design programme, not audited results.

Design-partner pilots

ThankTap is opening design-partner pilots in Fall 2026 with independent luxury and upper-upscale properties in the United States. A pilot needs executive sponsorship and one department, runs 60 to 90 days, and is measured against your existing cash-only baseline. The proof standard is US$100 or more in incremental tips per high-contact worker per month.

Compliance and control

Pooling rules, payroll treatment and audit history are designed for finance and HR review. The hotel never controls the amount ThankTap's AI recommends to a guest, which keeps the gratuity voluntary and the recommendation independent.
