ThankTap hardware

Every ThankTap staff member wears an NFC tag that a guest's phone can tap. The hardware is approved hospitality equipment rather than a sticker: scratch-resistant polymer or coated metal, hotel-brandable, with visible NFC wayfinding and no battery to charge.

Hardware formats

• Lapel pin — subtle and sophisticated, for front-of-house uniforms.
• Round blazer badge — pairs with a brass name tag for bell and door staff.
• Lanyard card — for departments that already wear credentials.
• Key fob — for valet and back-of-house roles that work without a jacket.

Materials and durability

ThankTap tags are made in scratch-resistant polymer or coated metal so they survive daily uniform wear. There is no battery and nothing to charge; NFC tags are powered by the guest's phone during the tap.

Management and replacement

Every ThankTap unit is numbered and property-managed through the hotel roster. Tags are revocable tokens, so a lost or stolen tag can be disabled instantly, and ThankTap ships replacements within one business day.

Cost

ThankTap hardware is free. Staff are never charged for a tag, personalization or a replacement, and hotels are never invoiced for hardware. The cost is covered by the guest-paid 20% service fee.
