ThankTap terms of use

These terms summarize the rules that apply to the ThankTap website, the ThankTap guest and staff apps, and ThankTap hotel pilots. ThankTap is a venture of Euler's Formula.

Using ThankTap

ThankTap enables guests to send voluntary gratuities to hospitality staff. Gratuities are voluntary: ThankTap does not preselect amounts and does not send pressure prompts.

Balances and fees

A ThankTap balance is the guest's money. Balances never expire, are refundable in full at any time, and are held in custodial accounts. Each thank-you draws the tip plus a 20% ThankTap service fee, shown before the guest confirms and itemized afterwards.

Payouts to staff

Staff receive 100% of the displayed tip, or the disclosed pool receives it where a property operates pooling. ThankTap does not charge staff for hardware, replacements or payouts.

Hotel pilots

Design-partner pilots are provided free to the property and are governed by a separate pilot agreement covering roster data, pooling rules, payroll handling and audit access.

AI recommendations

The ThankTap AI Smart Tip Engine provides suggestions only. The guest always chooses the final amount. Recommendations are not financial advice and are never influenced by protected characteristics.

Acceptable use

Do not use ThankTap for unlawful payments, to impersonate staff, or to attempt to extract another person's data from the platform.
